Ahoy, Matey! Welcome to Skull Island where your adventures begin, and your memories are treasured.

Your adventure begins right after you park your car in the gated parking area. You’ll bring your belongings to the dock where you can load it into your boat or use ours. From the dock, the house will be in your view on the island . THERE IS NO WAY TO DRIVE TO THE ISLAND, IT CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED BY ROWBOAT, YOUR BOAT OR OUR ISLAND BOUND! PONTOON BOAT. ( Included in the rental!! )

The Island Bound is your basic 16ft pontoon with a 20hp motor, it seats a max of 6-8 for family style fun.  This pontoon will NOT pull any type of skier or tube float.  It comes complete with a 10 gallon (premixed) tank of gas for the weekend.  **More available for purchase. 

The property is nestled in the woods of the island. The south side sunroom overlooks a 180 degree majestic view of the main body of the lake. From this vantage point you can see all the activities of the main view of Pontiac Lake.  From the kitchen on the north side you have a completely tranquil view of nothing but state land along the natural side of the shoreline.  In the evening enjoy breathtaking sunsets around the bonfire boasting astronomical views of the big and little dipper in the northern skyline.

Smugglers Cove has 2 bedrooms One with a Queen Bed and the other With A Bunk Style lower Queen and Upper Full. The south side sunroom has a futon that pulls out to a queen bed and the Sofa also converts to a Full Bed. All linens and towels are supplied. Both the bathroom and the kitchen come fully stocked with all paper products, toiletries, cooking utensils, pans, and supplies.  There is a keurig coffee maker if you want to bring your own brand. We will have a few samples on hand.

Pontiac State Public Beach is a few minutes away and open every day with a state park pass. Or FREE when accessing from the lake!!  Smugglers Cove has a wide array of additional rental options available (weather and lake level permitting). There is a giant 30 ft tall inflatable water slide for an additional $75 for the weekend. Additional inflatable paddle boards for $25, adult and youth kayaks for $25 for the weekend.

The storage shed has a wide array of sand building materials for the children (no cost).

Lounge around the lake or on the dock or deck all day and spend your evenings in Pontiac, Royal Oak, Birmingham, Clarkston, Detroit, Windsor (Canada), or other local hot spot of your choosing. Bring your fishing pole and catch Bass, Bluegill, Pike, Walleye, and other game fish when in season. Barbecue outside or cook inside. Vacation in beautiful Oakland County while enjoying the cozy, yet upscale, Northern Michigan atmosphere of this home. Abundant wildlife in nature sanctuary type setting all around the property. The cottage has additional dock space for your own boat as well.

On weekends you’ll see the locals playing volleyball in the water.
